Okay, so it’s definitely been like 10 months since I’ve posted on here, but the joy and the blessings have been coming even if I haven’t reported on them! 🙂 For some reason, I found myself back here after not coming here since January and decided to post.
First of all, I must say that God still finds ways to astound me each and every day. Second, I said back in January that “joyfullyblessed” was going to be my theme for the year. Well, I think it’s actually going to become a theme for LIFE. I’ve managed to make every single one of my facebook statuses since January have the concept of joy and blessing in there somewhere. Many people have commented on that lately and how they think it’s cool. I am glad that others are also blessed, but I must say, that putting “joyfullyblessed” in my status each day is more for me than anything. It is really easy to get on facebook and want to use it as a way to complain about the day or list all the things you still have left to do. Now, please hear me that I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with that, but by putting joyfullyblessed in my status each day, it makes me stop and refocus my attitude on the blessings in life rather than the hard things. In time, this just makes life better overall.
Anyway, I’ve decided I want to come back to posting things on here for a while.
I realized a lot lately how much I NEED to focus on giving God thanks and praise… not just at thanksgiving, not just when life is good, but EVERY moment of EVERY day. I got out of the habit of doing that for a while and I noticed a difference in the way I went about life. It became very difficult to see any good in situations, let alone the ABUNDANT blessings God was pouring into my life.
Here are some of the blessings of today:
- sleeping in
- giant cinnamon rolls!
- GOOD TEST RESULTS FROM THE DOCTOR!!!
- 2 hours alone in the car with God
- hanging out with a DCE and some of her high school girls
- LAUGHTER
- The perfect timing and set-up of the day… COMPLETELY different than I had planned!
- coffee with a good friend at just the right time
- a warm fuzzy blanket and a sweet passage from Isaiah
- funny text messages with friends
- an amazing, loving family
- catching up on the phone with a friend
- peace in God’s abundant joy and blessing
- AND SO MUCH MORE!
Thanks God! YOU ROCK!
