“Doing” Life Together

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. (Romans 12:15 NIV)

I love opportunities to ‘do life’ together with other women. Tonight I am especially thankful for my lifegroup and the ways in which we are able to live out Romans 12:15 in both big and small ways.

Tonight alone we rejoiced in ice cream with all kinds of amazing toppings and yet mourned the loss of an uncle. We celebrated one year in remission and prayed for another’s upcoming dr appt. We lifted up an absent member who couldn’t come due to being at a wake. We laughed about nonsense and shared in frustration of things not going as hoped in life. We talked about life and relationships. We shared hugs and prayers. And through all of this is intertwined the story of Esther and how it’s tough being a woman in a mean world and how God gives us strength to stand up in the midst of tough times.

Life is best done together.
