Coming Up in Young Adult Ministry

God continues to grow First Trinity’s Young Adult Ministry. Eight of the twenty participants at our Saturday of Service this past weekend were between the ages of 20 and 35! Listed below are a few things coming up in that ministry for young adults and opportunities to get involved in serving and connecting with them:

LifeMatters Lifegroup

We recently started a new Lifegroup for adults that’s aimed at those of us in the 18-35 age range. It’s a great chance to see relevant ways that God’s Word and life connect as we journey through life together and see what God’s Word says about it. We meet every other Wednesday at 8 p.m. at church so people are able to go to the Lenten services if they want from 7-8 that start on February 13 (though occasionally we may head over to a coffee shop or restaurant across the street if we want.) The dates coming up are January 30, February 13, and February 27. Our current study is called, “The Lord is…” and we’re looking at stories of who God was in the Old Testament and how he hasn’t changed today! He still is our refuge, our salvation, or our deliverer, and our purpose.

Lutheran Campus Ministry Connections

On February 20, First Trinity is providing the meal for Lutheran Campus Ministry of WNY’s weekly gathering. People of all ages are needed to help purchase, make, and/or serve the meal. Those helping are invited, but not required, to eat with and encourage the young adults at Lutheran Campus Ministries. Young adults themselves are invited to join us for dinner and whatever activity they might be having after dinner that night.

Young Adult Mission Trip

The 2013 young adult mission trip is in its beginning stages of planning, but will likely happen sometime between late April and early June. Please begin praying for this trip right now that God would have the exact people he needs on the team in the exact places at the exact times he needs us there in order that His name might be glorified.
