30 Days of Prayer for Our College Students, College Ministry

College Prayer Guide 13: {Relationships with Friends}

“And Saul’s son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God.” (1 Samuel 23:16 NIV)

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
(Proverbs 27:17 NIV)

God created us to be relational beings.  He created us to need each other.  Through the next few devotions, we’ll focus in on various key relationships in the lives of college students and pray God’s blessings over them.  Today, pray for the friends of college students you know.   Pray that God would surround students with people during their college years that will encourage them and be a positive influence in their lives.  Pray that the friends would, like we see Saul did for David in the verse above, help students find strength in God.  Pray they would also be able to BE a great friend to others, that whoever the college students you’re thinking of spends time with would be people who sharpen them and who they can sharpen.  Pray Christian college students would reflect Jesus in all their relationships and that God uses them to draw others to Himself.
