“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6 NIV)
The idea that there is no real “truth” in life is becoming more and more prevalent, especially in academic settings like colleges and universities. Students are often challenged to question if anything could really be 100% true. Especially when it comes to matters of faith and religion, there is pressure to shy away from anything that can’t be proven. However, the passage from John above reminds us that Jesus Himself IS truth. Pray today that in the midst of a skeptical world, students would seek truth, because when they do, they WILL find Jesus. And when they find Jesus, The Truth, they will find freedom.
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 NIV)
