MOVE 2016 – Thursday – CHANGED

Day 4 - ChangedToday’s Theme: Kingdom Workers are changed.
Through Jesus, we are loved, rescued, and united, and the result of all of those things coming together is lives that are changed. In Ephesians 4, Paul tells us we can’t live like the Gentiles do anymore. We must put off our old self and put on a new self. Today we will think through how to apply being loved, rescued, and united in our lives so that we are changed people. (Eph. 4:17-32)

 Schedule:

  • Encounter/Small Group Time
  • Youth Group Breakout Games in Chattanooga
  • Evening Session

Prayer Ideas:

  • Pray that students be open to God’s life-changing truth today
  • Wisdom to know what true righteousness and holiness are
  • Events of the day would challenge us to put off our old self and put on a new self, created after the likeness of God

Today’s Theme: Kingdom Workers are united.
When God rescues us, He doesn’t just leave us isolated and alone, He unites us with others who have also been rescued. Today, we look at what it means to be united. As people who have been included and made a part of God’s family, we are to be people who seek unity, peace, and reconciliation. (Eph. 2:11-22)

MOVE 2016 – Tuesday – RESCUED

Day 2 - Rescued

Today’s Theme: Kingdom Workers are rescued.

We start our journey today by revisiting what we learned yesterday: Kingdom Workers are loved. Love and rescue are linked together. God’s love for his people isn’t passive, it takes action. Today we examine Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1 and apply it to our own lives, as well as examine our own need of rescue. (Eph. 1:15-23)

Schedule:

  • Morning Session
  • Encounter (Individual Time Alone with God)
  • Small Group Time
  • Electives/Free Time
  • Evening Session
  • Youth Group Debrief

Prayer Ideas:

  • Continued prayer for our team as we connect
  • Prayer for students to get in the right electives that will encourage them in their faith growth.
  • Events of the day would help show us areas of our life where we need God’s rescue.

MOVE 2016 – Monday – LOVED

theme image

Today’s Theme: Kingdom Workers are loved.
Kingdom Workers know they are loved by God. The work they do isn’t an effort to try and earn anything; it is in response to what they have already received. Today, we consider these thoughts: God the Father loves me and God has a purpose for me. God’s love is active and invites us in to be a part of what He has planned. As we journey through the week, we’ll not only discover what the purpose is, but how we can be involved. (Eph. 1:1-14)

Schedule:

  • Adventures around Kentucky
  • Drive to Lee University in Cleveland, TN
  • Settle into dorm rooms
  • Opening Evening Session
  • Youth Group Debrief

Prayer Ideas:

  • Smooth transition into MOVE life
  • For people leading the whole event that last minute details come together and kick off well
  • For other MOVE participants we will meet
  • That we would all experience this week the truth that God loves us and has a purpose for us.
